Standing out in a visually undifferentiated category.
While performance matters, many badminton brands lack a strong visual and emotional identity. Tumou needed a packaging system for its shuttlecocks that could clearly express its brand personality—strengthening recognition and helping the brand stand out in a crowded, performance-driven market.
What We Did
Mahardhika approached the project with a brand-first perspective—aiming to elevate how badminton products are experienced visually. We developed a clear packaging direction that reflects the energy, confidence, and dynamism of the sport.
To reinforce product character, we introduced the shuttlecock product name FORSA—derived from the Manado word for “strong” and aligned with the Italian expression Forza, associated with force and power. The name communicates durability and performance while remaining globally relevant.
We then designed a bold and impactful packaging system that captures Tumou’s spirited identity—using strong visual cues and confident composition to differentiate the product on shelf and in play. The result is a packaging design that feels athletic, expressive, and unmistakably Tumou.
Outcome
Tumou’s shuttlecock packaging emerged with a distinct and confident presence—strengthening brand recognition and setting a new visual standard within the badminton category. With a clear identity and differentiated packaging, Tumou is better positioned to grow its presence and connect with players who value both performance and enjoyment in the game.
