Building a lifestyle-driven brand in a competitive vape market.

The vape industry is highly competitive, with many stores offering similar products and experiences. For One Vape, the challenge was to move beyond being perceived as just another vape retailer and instead establish itself as a recognizable lifestyle brand.

At the same time, the brand needed a consistent visual identity and retail environment that could attract younger audiences who see vaping as part of their personal style and social identity. Creating a brand experience that feels energetic, modern, and community-oriented became essential.

What We Did

Mahardhika began the project with an internal brand assessment to understand the business vision, competitive strengths, and aspirations of the brand owner. These insights helped define how One Vape could position itself as a leading vape distributor and retailer in Sulawesi.

From these insights, we developed the brand foundation—defining the core idea, positioning, and messaging framework that shape how One Vape communicates with its audience. The concept centers around building meaningful connections with customers and creating a sense of community around the vaping lifestyle.

Mahardhika then designed a bold and expressive visual identity system, including logo structure, color palette, typography, and graphic elements. The identity was crafted to reflect a modern, energetic lifestyle that resonates with younger consumers while remaining distinctive in a crowded retail environment.

To bring the brand experience to life, we developed various brand touchpoints and environments—ranging from digital platforms, merchandise, and uniforms to the retail interior and storefront identity. All elements were compiled into a comprehensive brand guideline to ensure the brand can be implemented consistently across channels and future store locations.

Outcome

One Vape emerged with a stronger and more distinctive brand identity that better reflects its role as a lifestyle-driven vape retailer.

With a clear concept, expressive visual system, and cohesive retail experience, the brand is now positioned to connect more effectively with younger audiences and foster stronger relationships with the vaping community.

The structured branding system also provides a scalable foundation that supports future expansion while maintaining consistency across physical stores and digital platforms.
